The annual West End Festival in Glasgow is held in June and is held over 15 days. There are hundreds of performers, stage shows and children’s entertainers performing througout the event. The West End Festival is not just for the west end - anyone is welcome to take part and to attend. The festival concentrates around the Byres Road area of the west end which is within a short walk of the Argyll Hotel.

Despite the current doom and gloom, Glasgow is still a vibrant city full of creative people, dynamic organisations and a large public thirsting for “good days out”. The West End Festival has been supplying this since 1996 mostly in the form of the famous Opening Parade and Street Party offering music, theatre and dance are easily the biggest public events in the city and not to be missed. !
