This is our third visit to The Argyll Hotel and I am sure it will not be the last. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
“The staff are great – warm, friendly & helpful and the room and facilities were very good.”Reviewed 9 February 2013
I checked into this hotel at very short notice for two nights (6th & 7th February), due to a bad experience and unanticipated check out at another hotel on the same street (no heating or hot showers). The lady on the front desk was great – professional, helpful, warm and friendly, offering me a lovely room, despite lack of notice. The room was lovely – warm, clean, large, with a four poster bed. The bathroom was also large, moder, very clean with a good hot shower and plenty of decent towels. The breakfast was very good. The lady managing the breakfast area was very professional and was very helpful, warm and thoughtful – a real credit to the team! I had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was cozy and the staff friendly. We requested vegan breakfast and were delighted with the excellent food we were provided–they even checked the ingredients on the potato scones and veg sausages to make sure they were vegan for us. The vegan full scottish was delicious! We really appreciate how accommodating everyone was to us This hotel is located at the West End Sauchiehall area and it is a terrific spot to check out this side of town. The Kelvingrove is just a minute or two walk away and there are lots of cozy, inviting pubs and restaurants all around the area.
A warm, attractive place to stay. The breakfasts were fantastic. This was a very good place to stay to walk to many museums, into town and to shops and restaurants.
Rated: Outstanding Special thanks to Kristy in reception for making my stay memorable and going the extra mile.
“Amazing Staff, brilliant breakfast, comfortable room”Reviewed 25 September 2013
This little hotel is great and the staff make it so… my room was on the dreaded 4th floor but it was very pleasent bed was comfortable and my partner and I had everything we needed in the room we paid £50 for the night including breakfast so I feel we got a lot more for our money, yes the room was abit dated but if you want a tartan room or mordern bathroom then I guess you need to pay for it… breaking news everyone i hear the hotel is renovating rooms! Maybe the budget rooms will be next. Over all great night stay would defiantly stay here again.
Looking forward to coming back.
Traveller rating:“Nice place” 17 Oct 2013 A TripAdvisor MemberI went there in October, I was there for one night, with my friends. We found a good hearty breakfast, comfortable beds, clean bathroom, we have activated the wifi network, before we left we were given the opportunity to leave your luggage in custody. The hotel is located next to Kelvingrove Park. The reception by the maximum willingness to provide information. This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC
Good that you had a car park. Staff very helpful. Enjoyed our breakfasts and dinner. Not too far to walk into the shopping area.Thought Glasgow was a friendly lace and enjoyed our short stay.
Room 302 very quiet, clean and confortable. Staff very kind and helpfull. Very warm welcome. Breakfast was excellent! Dining room very comfortable, and evening staff very kind. Diner very excellent (Scottish coffee was very good!) We have tested both the hotel and the B&B. Both of these are very comfortable addresses to stay in Glasgow, easy to find, quiet places, near all facilities. Next stay should be to test the famous “detective evenings” of the Murder Mystery!!!
