Room was lovely, quite large, and very clean. Staff was polite and helpful. It’s a bit ontheoutskirts of the city center, but well worth it. Buses and taxis go by frequently, so getting there isn’t an issue. Well worth it, actually, as is is far quieter by the Argyll.
Short stay at the hotel, but impressed with the services. Waiters at breakfast were very efficient + friendly service.
We stayed here for 1 night as we had tickets to a concert at the SSE Hydro Arena. It was about 15 minutes walk away, and about 25 minutes walk into town (although taxis were cheap and efficient – it costs around a fiver to get to Glasgow Central train station) Check-in was efficient and friendly. We had a ground floor room at the back of the hotel which was very quiet as it was away from the main road. It was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was very modern, again very clean and the shower was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. We paid £8.50 each for the buffet breakfast, and it was good value in my opinion. There was plenty of cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice, toast and jam, and the usual fry up items such as sausages, bacon, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, potato scones, beans, tomatoes, and black pudding. It was all replenished frequently and there was table service for tea & coffee. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. We were very impressed with the hotel and the staff, and would not hesitate to stay here again next time we visit this wonderful city.
Just to give a big thank you to all the staff at the Argyll Hotel for the great service we received on the night of August the 6th at the hen night I had booked there. All the staff from both the hotel and the Murder Mystery night were amazing, and a great night was had by al! Value for money was brilliant, and customer service was great. I have been a couple of times and hope to return, and will recommend the venue to friends! Well done!
First class cleanliness.
Came to Glasgow to watch “The Killers” at Bellahouston park . Three ladies staying for two nights . We didn’t want right in the city centre and this hotel ( a shyer taxi ride away ) suited our needs . On arrival check in was fine , no car park space , parked just round the corner and so not a problem . The hotel is next to a pub but it wasn’t noisy at all . Our room on the second floor was ENORMOUS !!!! Two single beds and a double …. Decor lovely traditional Scottish tartan ( royal Stewart with a wall plaque to explain ) . Bathroom new and modern . Only gripe about room was not enough coat hangers for three/ four people ( as the room is meant for ) . Breakfast was lovely , plenty of choice whether you wanted light continental style or full English ( yes still called that in Scotland) . Staff were pleasant and attentive . The carpets on the stairs were a bit worn and tired looking but everything else was fine . Lots of restaurants and bars on the streets behind the hotel . We ate at several and were not disappointed . Taxi to Bellahouston park ( which was about 20mins away ) was only £6 . We three thoroughly enjoyed our mini break and would stay here again .
Staff were welcoming & very helpful.
Breakfast was outstanding, had a lovely large family room. Linda was very helpful on our arrival and at breakfast time. Thank you!
Everyone makes this hotel warm and cosy. Fab staff, Linda at breakfast and the night porter were both wonderful. You’re all doing a great job.
Lovely, well kept hotel. Great breakfast.
