Friends recommended the Argyll Hotel to us. They raved about it and we now see why. We will be back! Thanks!
Overall very good! The staff were very good and pleasant, the breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. Would be my first choice when back in Glasgow to stay again.
Excellent value for money. Reception very friendly and competent.
- Very welcoming receptionist who also suggested good places to eat in the local area…
“Great location, Delicious full vegan breakfast”Reviewed 14 January 2013
We picked this hotel originally because they offer a full vegan scottish breakfast, and ended up liking everything about the hotel! When you book your room, there is a place to request the vegan breakfast–it comes with everything including porridge with soya milk, potato scones, tomatoes, mushrooms, vegan sausages, toast, etc. The room was really cozy, with tea and biscuits refilled every day. The West End location is terrific, practically across the street from the Kelvingrove. It is on the main road but is not loud or noisy and it’s a relatively quick, easy walk right downtown. There is also a lot to do right nearby–their bar at the hotel is lovely and the Snaffle Bit is a pub next door that was really nice and friendly and if you enjoy vegan food, The 78 is basically around the corner. Everyone on staff is super friendly and helpful. There is also a bus stop right out front if you prefer to take transportation instead of walking. We would definitely stay here again.

The reception was very good at showing me how to operate the TV. Everything went very well. I would recommend for friends to stay here.
Rated: Outstanding Very helpful receptionists, very comfortable and quiet room. Was accommodated on request for a twin, a quiet room with a bath. Thank you!
A friendly, clean and comfortable hotel. We occupied room 106 which was clean and comfortable. Our purpose was to settle in and introduce our disabled granddaughter to the nearby University and her lodging in preparation for her study year at the nearby University. The room was very tasteful, the beds comfortable and the room pleasantly quiet. A very pleasant stay!
An inexpensive, clean, friendly hotel, local to the SECC with some parking behind the hotel and plenty of inexpensive street parking in front. Short taxi ride to the City Centre. Easy to get to from the Motorway.
I would like to recommend the staff at breakfast and reception as fantastic. Sensitive about food to meet different religious or dietary requirements.
