Location was good to see both the city center and the museums, many shops and restaurants near by. Included breakfast was really good. We got upgraded to a 4 bed family room (there was only 2 of us) so the room was very spacious and comfortable.great value for the money. Would highly recommend this place.
Great breakfast. Suited us for a family get-away and had everything we needed.
Excellent value for the price.
Short stay at the hotel, but impressed with the services.Waiters at breakfast were very efficient + friendly service.
Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Room was clean and fresh, plenty of towels and a good size. Loads of places to see or places to eat very near at hand.
My overnight stay was very satisfying and would recommend highly.I can definitely praise Patricia, Bobby and Laurie in the bar.
“Great location, Delicious full vegan breakfast”Reviewed 14 January 2013
We picked this hotel originally because they offer a full vegan scottish breakfast, and ended up liking everything about the hotel! When you book your room, there is a place to request the vegan breakfast–it comes with everything including porridge with soya milk, potato scones, tomatoes, mushrooms, vegan sausages, toast, etc. The room was really cozy, with tea and biscuits refilled every day. The West End location is terrific, practically across the street from the Kelvingrove. It is on the main road but is not loud or noisy and it’s a relatively quick, easy walk right downtown. There is also a lot to do right nearby–their bar at the hotel is lovely and the Snaffle Bit is a pub next door that was really nice and friendly and if you enjoy vegan food, The 78 is basically around the corner. Everyone on staff is super friendly and helpful. There is also a bus stop right out front if you prefer to take transportation instead of walking. We would definitely stay here again.

A very welcoming place indeed. Friendly, courteous & helpful staff. Exceptional room -modern & contemporary. The en-suite is amazing. Very luxurious! Would definitely stay again. Ideal location for the SECC & the town.
This was our second visit and was even better than last time. I shared a huge triple-bedded, double-aspect room with my daughter that was lovely and clean. High ceilings, big windows and plenty of space made for a light and comfortable room.We paid slightly extra for breakfast and that was thoroughly worth it as it was genuinely the best I’ve had. Everything was laid out in the main hotel (there are rooms on both sides of Sauchiehall Street) with lots of choice. You help yourself but the meat and non-meat stuff is kept separate. I recommend ordering porridge (porridge, kippers and poached/boiled eggs are to order). Fried potato cakes instead of fried bread was delicious. We all enjoyed those! The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, and really couldn’t do enough to help, without being at all invasive.Breakfast is served in the restaurant which is below ground but there is a lift. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable.Argyll Hotel is situated very close to the Kelvingrove Museum in the West End of Glasgow so has heaps to do close by. The site seeing bus stop is 100 yards away. There is some hotel parking but we parked on the wide road to the side of the hotel which cost £2 for the rest of the afternoon, and was then free after 6pm on the Friday for the rest of the weekend.Considering its on one of the main streets of the city, we didn’t feel we were in the city centre as Kelvingrove Park next door is beautiful with all the trees and open spaces. It was easy to get back on the motorway too. We’re already planning a trip back for next year. We had a brilliant time so thank you Argyll Hotel. Also, if you’d like an evening drink, pop on over to the Snaffle Bit across the road….
Good value for money with a good location for walking into town.
