Whether you're planning a birthday, anniversary, hen night or just a good night out, we hold various public Murder Mystery events throughout the year and are available for private events too. The Murder Mystery event lasts for approximately 3 hours and includes a four course dinner.


Murder Mystery Evening

Looking for a great evening out? why not try a Murder Mystery! Every Murder Mystery includes a four-course dinner and if you want you can stay on and use the facilities at the hotel, visit the local sights or just avoid having to drive home afterwards.

Our next Murder Mystery Night will take place on the 4th of September. A Private Murder Mystery Dinner is great if you are looking for a social event for your school, charity or business or if you want a special birthday, anniversary or hen/stag party. Private bookings require a party of 20 or greater.

The Sutherland Secret - Sir Malcolm Sutherland is dead. Heirless, his estate is divided and scattered throughout the family..but one matter remains unresolved. Here in Argyll Manor Sir Malcolm™ last residence, four of his favoured surviving relatives have gathered. The reason, to ascertain the whereabouts of the fabled missing Sutherland Star a gem so precious that it could light the heavens. Each of these relatives has searched in vain for the gem, and in a final desperate act have requested the help of a renowned medium to contact Sir Malcolm, from beyond the grave and unravel the mystery. Who has the missing Gem? Who is willing to risk their soul for the riches the gem will bring? Does the Sutherland Star really hold mysterious powers? Will it bring darkness into the lives of those who covet it?

This Murder Mystery is Interactive and involves exploration of the hotel.

The Acquisition - The university had a separate museum and library that were amalgamated several years ago into one department. This department is respected and renowned all over the world.
Its staff members are taken from numerous fields of learning and are required to use their expertise daily.
The museums collection is extensive.
It prides its self with having one of the largest collections of rare books in the world.
They are always on the lookout for their next acquisition.
Every museum seeks the one item that will set it apart from the rest.

The one item that was lost and forgotten about long ago. The one that should have been left well alone……….

A Season of Bad Will - Christmas is fast approaching and we find our thoughts drifting towards those who are less fortunate than ourselves. With this in mind, Harry Doggett and his friends are once again putting their talents to the test in a Christmas show. Its aim is to raise the much needed funds for a local orphanage. It is a show of some repute, as is now entering its fifth year in production. With rehearsals underway, all is not well. The cast are uneasy and tempers are at breaking point. This past year has brought about some uneasy truths. The performance must go on. Differences must be settled! If not, will someone’s goose be well and truly cooked?

After all it is the season of goodwill.....
