Lovely hotel, great buffet breakfast, friendly staff. Great location for Kelvinhall & SECC, and shopping is 15 minute walk away. Mother India restaurant along the road is really good; as is Butchershop Bar Grill.
I’ve stayed before and will return.
We stayed at the Argyll Hotel because we were going to a concert at the Clyde Auditorium. It ticked all the boxes being 10/15mins walk from the venue with loads of places to have an early evening meal and a lovely wine bar to have a drink on the way home. I have to say that for an hotel in the middle of a city it really was excellent value and we would definitely use it again.
Stayed here many times over the last twenty years. Reading lamp on bed head is a very useful facility. The receptionist (Javier) was nice when helping with the suitcases (not requested) and had a pleasant manner. Breakfast staff – very helpful.
“Always a pleasure!”Reviewed 24 February 2013
Stayed 5 nights again and cant fault the Argyll Hotel. Staff at the front desk and in the restaurant all excellent-cheery and will go out of there way to help. The location is fantastic to all of the University/Bryers Rd/West End attractions, the city centre and the SECC. Plenty of pubs, restaurants around, beautiful Kelvin Grove Park and art gallery over the road. The direct airport bus outside cant be beat. Friendly service at reasonable prices and well situarted -well done Argyll Hotel!

A warm and friendly welcome, a spotlessly clean room, great food, excellent!
The reception was very good at showing me how to operate the TV. Everything went very well. I would recommend for friends to stay here.
“Great little hotel for the price”Reviewed 7 May 2013
Great little hotel that fitted the bill! The first impressions are of a reasonable budget hotel. The best two aspects about the hotel was firstly the attitude of the staff and their desire to help out. The breakfast was the other being one of the better I have experienced in my travels. Furnishings are reasonable and nothing needed replacing. The bathroom was in good order and the beds reasonable.

Excellent! Delighted with room, price, excellent breakfast, and very friendly/helpful staff. My kind of hotel (although putting a Macdonald in the Campbell room beside a picture of the Glencoe massacre did raise a smile!). Would definitely recommend.
Overall very good! The staff were very good and pleasant, the breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. Would be my first choice when back in Glasgow to stay again.
