Mackintosh 100 will focus on the centenary of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's
internationally acknowledged masterpiece The Mackintosh Building
at the Glasgow School of Art. which was completed in 1909. Throughout
the year there will be an ongoing programme of enhanced tours at The Art
School, branded centenary events including a special Homecoming Degree
Show, and a special exhibition celebrating life and art at GSA in 1909.
The centenary will be supported throughout the year by a range of events
at other Mackintosh venues in the city. The Argyll hotel is within easy
reach of the Glasgow School of Art, The Mackintosh Church and many other
Mackintosh places of interest.
