Squiggly
Bridge Glasgow : The Tradeston Bridge
The "Squiggly" bridge opened in May 2009 and is new pedestrian
and cycle crossing bridge over the Clyde in Glasgow
The Tradeston Bridge, dubbed the "Squiggly" bridge, has been built as part of a £33m regeneration of the Clyde waterfront.
The Squiggly bridge links the Tradeston area on the south of the river
with the city's financial district on the Broomielaw.
There are approximately 72 rail, road, foot and other bridges that cross
the Clyde, from estuary to source.
The Kingston Bridge over the Clyde started in 1967. It was opened in 1970
and today more than 150,000 vehicles cross the bridge daily.
The financial district on the Broomielaw is within easy reach of the Argyll Hotel
