Was delighted with all the factors. A business trip for the one night. Next time I come to Glasgow I will be shopping and will be sure of where to stay.
Great, helpful staff, can’t fault the stay.
Everything was amazing, from our arrival, accomodation, facilities, breakfast and our departure. Good distance from SECC, shopping and local bars
I have recommended the hotel to others and we love to stay with you when we come to Glasgow. You know that we have been there before. Thanks for keeping the cafe open for us for breakfast the morning that we arrived. I think that we had three minutes before it closed!!!
Keep up your good services. We would like to come back and also recommend this place to other visitors.
“Budget Hotel Gold”Reviewed 14 May 2013
Compelled to give the staff a good shout at The Argyll. Without a doubt for the price and location of the Hotel this is one of the best budget hotels I have come across in the UK. 15 Minute walk from Town centre, The setting while basic are of a very good standard for the tariff, clean and a good shower / hot water supply alongside a comfy bed to rest up. Very good staff and an exceptional buffet breakfast that was well above expectation. For a budget hotel I would happily recommend the Argyll and will stay here again!
- Stayed May 2013, travelled solo
We received a night in the Hotel as a Christmas gift and decided to book another night.
Staff in the breakfast hall are very helpful, sensitive to customers’ needs and provide first class service. Very friendly as well. Do not let them go! Staff at reception as excellent as well.
A quiet friendly hotel on the doorstep of Glasgow city centre. The Argyll really is a home away from home, perfectly suited to tourists and business users alike. The rates are very competitive. The restaurant punches well beyond its weight with regards to the quality and flavour of the food it offers. Overall, a gem of a hotel and highly recommended. This hotel located in Sauchiehall street is a 5 minute walk to Yorkhill hospital or a £4 taxi to City Centre. SECC and Kelvingrove all within easy walking distance.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cosy. The breakfast was very good and the waiting staff very friendly. Had a lovely bar meal last night and enjoyed the pear cider. I will hopefully be back soon!
