Glasgow Ferry : Glasgow Live Music Venue

The Ferry is a popular venue for gigs and club nights. Formerly the Renfrew Ferry this floating Glasgow institution was previously situated at Tradeston before moving to its new home at Anderston Quay – a short walk from the Argyll Hotel.

The Ferry was the last major passenger/vehicle carrier to cross the River Clyde between Yoker and Renfrew, carrying thousands of passengers daily across the River Clyde.
The ferry operated this service for 32 years.

Permanently moored on the banks of the River Clyde near the city centre, from 1989 to 2004 the Ferry was used as a multi purpose entertainment venue and played host to a wide variety of events By 2005 the Ferry was established as a major leisure venue and underwent a complete refurbishment and moved closer to the city centre at it’s new berth on Anderston Quay. The Ferry has new bars, toilets, a Top Deck restaurant and a superb sun deck and offers lunches and early dinners before the entertainment begins.

What our guests say

“First visit to Glasgow”

We have just returned from a 3 night 4 day break at the Argyll. We can not praise this hotel enough. On entering we were greeted by very friendly reception staff. Our room a double was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was wonderful and a member of staff Linda couldn’t do enough. We could order the eggs we wanted and nothing was to much trouble. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
