Glasgow Gaelic School
Glasgow Gaelic School (Bunsgoil Ghidhlig Ghlaschu) formally closed in June 2005 and reopened as the Sgoil Ghaidhlig Ghlaschu in August 2006.
The £4m Glasgow Gaelic School was been established at the former Woodside Secondary School close to the city centre and Argyll Hotel.
Around 320 pupils attend Sgoil Ghidhlig Ghlaschu and represents a major expansion of Gaelic Medium Education within the city.
Gaelic Education in Glasgow
The aim of the school is to deliver all curricular areas through the medium of Gaelic in pre-5, primary and secondary education
There is a full programme of cultural opportunities for children attending Gaelic medium provision including tuition in piping, traditional song and dance and other related Gaelic cultural opportunities.
As with the primary facility, there will be a full range of Gaelic cultural experiences offered to pupils.
