The ‘Squinty bridge’ in glasgow opened on the 18th September 2006 and was the first new vehicular bridge to be built over the River Clyde for more than 30 years.
The Squinty bridge links Finnieston near the SECC on the north bank to the Pacific Quay site on the south side. The bridge is within a few minutes drive of the Argyll Hotel or a ten to fifteen minute walk.
There are approximately 72 rail, road, foot and other bridges that cross the Clyde, from estuary to source.
The Kingston Bridge over the Clyde started in 1967. It was opened in 1970 and today more than 150,000 vehicles cross the bridge daily.
